Certificate Course
Offered Spring and Fall in New York City.

New York City:
The Spring, 2008 Course is in session.
Fall, 2008 begins Tuesday, September 9th.
Please apply early! Recommended: a minimum of one month - five weeks before the first day of class.

The Certificate Course program is a 20 week study of the significant countries and wine regions of the world. Professional emphasis is on the varietals, viticulture specifics, techniques of tasting, food and wine pairing and service. You will taste more than 120 wines, worth more than $6,000. A class is devoted to distilled spirits as well. Cooperage and viniculture are included; business and legal aspects and licensing are also addressed and reviewed in detail.

The 20 week program is offered in the fall, September to February, and spring, March to July, of each year. The classes are held in New York City, once a week, Tuesdays, from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Once a student is registered, he or she may make up missed classes the following session at no additional cost.

There is a final examination that includes all topics covered in the course. Students who pass this are awarded the Sommelier Society of America, Inc. diploma/certificate.

Course tuition includes all text books and materials. Applications must be accompanied by payment for tuition.
