Wine Boutique Sales Associate at Pour Wines

We are looking for a confident, disciplined and wine experienced salesperson that can be dependable on a fixed schedule that includes at least one day of the weekend. Pour Wines is a retail liquor store sales position that includes leading wine tastings.

MUST BE a part-time job seeker (meaning that you are looking specifically for a part time job and not a full time due to studies, freelance work and other responsibilities.

This does include late hours working up to 9:30pm, so if you are not comfortable with that, this is not for you. This position requires you to be outgoing and convincing, confident in making decisions when one needs to be made quickly, communicative, sales skilled, multi-tasker, proficient with words in different languages, good memory, good at counting cases and receiving products by cross referencing lists, and comfortable lifting and carrying 40lb cases.

This is a part-time job only, 20-25 hours/week.

WHAT BENEFITS DO YOU HAVE IN THIS POSITION?
Standard retail shop hourly rates. Higher rates on weekends.

Some schedule flexibility, co-workers can cover for you if not too often.

Generous tips from customers if you want to take up sporadic delivery duties.

Experience in the wine industry, means to an end of getting into the wholesale representation business, if truly willing to absorb wine knowledge.

Access to wine tastings every day, able to purchase wine and spirits at cost+taxes.

Sales bonus of $300 if sales goal is met.

Other must-haves:
Availability for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve (you have the 25th off), NYE.

Must provide COVID proof of vaccination.

You need to be a problem solver, and always showing work, no long idle times.

This position requires strength to go up and down stairs carrying 5-10 40lb wine cases related to stock duties, in addition to opening cases and shelving bottles.

NEED TO BE VERY GOOD WITH TECHNOLOGY (UBEREATS GRUBHUB, POS System, Google doc, google sheets, google calendar, etc). Shadowing a current worker should be enough for you to be ready to take up technical tasks. If you have a long learning curve for technology, this is not the job for you.

Be comfortable with retail shop duties: opening, closing, bank trips, counting cash drawer, drafting a report of the total sales of the day every time you close-up shop, with the help of a software. Attention to detail and capable of tapping the correct items on the POS system is a MUST (Can't stress this enough, low tolerance for misringing!)

Commute to the location must be easy and doable 4 times a week. So be sure to see where we are located!

Must be an organized, trustworthy and reliable person. You earn your trust, then you earn a rate raise, but not if you are not willing to put in the work first. Hard workers are always recognized and made happy in this position.

You must be curious about wine and be willing to learn more about it.
